Getting Started with Vine Savant
Welcome to Vine Savant! This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to go from zero to sommelier-in-training in just a few minutes.
1. Download the App
Vine Savant is designed as a mobile-first experience to be the perfect companion at the dinner table. While you can view this knowledge base on the web, the game itself lives on your phone.
Available Platforms
- iOS: Available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.
- Web: Play directly in your browser at play.vinesavant.com (great for Android users).
2. Create Your Account
You can browse the app as a guest (Anonymous), but to track your stats, save your favorite wines, and appear on leaderboards, you'll need an account.
- Open the app and choose your sign-in method: Apple, Google, or Email.
- Enter your display Name. This is how you'll appear in games.
- Choose your Avatar. Select an icon that best represents your tasting style!
- Tap through the quick tutorial to learn the basics.
3. Play Your First Game
There are two ways to jump into the action:
Joining a Friend's Game
If you're at a party, the host will give you a 5-letter game code (e.g., "WINE1").
- Enter the code.
- Tap "Join Game" on the home screen.
- Wait in the lobby for the host to start!
Hosting Your Own
Want to be the ringleader? It's easier than you think. You just need a few bottles of wine and some friends.
